Books about long walks

Here’s a list of books I’ve read about long walks and some of them I actually recommend:

Pacific Crest Trail

  • Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, Cheryl Strayed
  • Skywalker: Highs and Lows on the Pacific Crest Trail, Bill Walker
  • The Cactus Eaters: How I Lost My Mind – and Almost Found Myself – on the Pacific Crest Trail, Dan White*

Appalachian Trail

  • A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail, Bill Bryson*
  • The Barefoot sisters: Southbound*
  • The Barefoot Sisters: Walking Home*
  • Skywalker: Close Encounters on the Appalachian Trail, Bill Walker*

Camino de Santiago

  • Finding the Camino, Jeanne Williamson*
  • Buen Camino!: A Father-Daughter Journey from Croagh Patrick to Santiago De Compostela, Peter and Natasha Murtagh*
  • Hiking the Camino: 500 Miles with Jesus, Fr. Dave Pivonka*
  • The Best Way: El Camino de Santiago, Bill Walker
  • The Pilgrimage, Paulo Coehlo
  • A Pilgrim’s Guide to the Camino de Santiago: St. Jean – Santiago, John Brierley
  • Walk in a Relaxed Manner: Life Lessons from the Camino, Joyce Rupp

*IMHO, so enjoyable that they’re worth buying in actual book form. 🙂
